Zamfara L.G. election:- I’m going to run an all-inclusive govt for rapid devt–Chairman

As the election into local government councils came and gone in Zamfara, people of the state have again been urged to continue to maintain peace and order and join hands with the government in its quest to develop the state for the betterment of all.

They should also be their brothers keepers and supportive of all the government programmes and policies so that together the desired goals could be achieved.

Alh. Abubakar Imam, the newly elected chairman of Gusau Local Government made this known shortly after the declaration of the winners of the election by the state independent electoral commission which conducted the election in the state.

Imam said peace anywhere in the world is the most needed apparatus in the development of any local, state and even a nation. Adding this without peace and maintenance of law and order, no nation can progress no matter how powerful that nation is. “nobody can dispute the fact that peace is life, infact, drink not even to talk of going about our daily activities,” the chairman added.

According to the chairman who also called for unity among the entire people, politics is not all about do or die affairs but a yardstick toward promoting peace and development adding that unity is the most strong weapon in fighting anything, “but when unity is lacking among the people, those people are bound to loose and eventually end up having nothing.

He also disclosed that as the mission of every responsible leader is to give the people he leads a positive leadership his attention as the chairman of Gusau Local Government is to among other thing make sure that he unite the people and enlighten them on the importance of unity which will now give way for proper development.

Speaking further, Imam explained that he is going to run an all inclusive government, a government that will not discriminate among the people irrespective of political, religious and tribal inclination.
