As part of activities to mark her 100-day in office, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack, has celebrated a total of 332 newly promoted directors in the federal civil service charging them to rededicate themselves to the principles of good
governance, transparency, and efficiency.
She gave the charge on Friday during the recognition dinner in honour of the 332 newly promoted directors in Abuja.
“Your role is pivotal
in cascading these reforms down the line, ensuring that every member of your team
understands and aligns with this vision. This is a task that requires clear communication,
consistent engagement, and unwavering dedication.
“Leadership is not merely about occupying a position; it is about inspiring others,
setting a standard, and being the example you wish to see in your team. You must foster
an environment of collaboration, inclusivity, and continuous learning.
“Your teams look
to you not only for guidance but also for motivation and mentorship. The future of the
Federal Civil Service depends on our ability to cultivate a culture where innovation
thrives, where accountability is non-negotiable, and where excellence is the norm.
“Be
the leaders who ignite passion and purpose in your teams, and let your actions
demonstrate the transformative power of visionary leadership.,” she said.
She assured them of her office’s support as they take up their new roles as directors.
“As you take on this elevated role, remember that you do not walk this path alone.
The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation stands firmly behind you.
” We are committed to providing the resources, training, and support you need to succeed.
Our doors are always open, and we are here to listen, to guide, and to partner with you in achieving our shared goals.
” The success of the Federal Civil Service is our collective
responsibility, and you can be assured of unwavering support as you navigate the
challenges and opportunities of your new roles.
I charge you, therefore, to rededicate yourselves to the principles of good
governance, transparency, and efficiency.”
One of the highlights of the dinner was the presentation of lapels to the newly promoted directors who took pictures with the HCSF in batches.
