Osina Town Union (OTU) Lagos Branch has honoured one of their most illustrious sons, an icon in the medical field, Sir (Pharm) Emeka Pallins Umeh (KSJI).
Sir Emeka Umeh was honourd in the Diamond Award category for his outstanding performance in Osina Ancient Kingdom and OTU Lagos Branch in particular.
A Pharmacist by profession, Sir Umeh was the Business Development Director, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceutical Limited and now Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Emda Global Enterprises Limited. A true professional and an indefatigable community stakeholder, Sir Emeka Umeh has supported OTU Lagos Branch and Osina Ancient kingdom in all their developmental efforts, helping them to achieve milestones and great strides, no wonder the entire community rose in unison to honour him.
At a well-attended event which took place at the Main Auditorium of the Ozubulu Hall, Festac Town, Lagos State, on the 8th of December, 2024, Sir Umeh was recognized for his commitment and numerous contributions to the development and growth of OTU Lagos Branch and Osina Ancient Kingdom in general.
Receiving the award, Pharm. Emeka Umeh thanked the Osina people appreciating them for the recognition and award. He said “Thank you my great people of Osina for this incredible honour. I am deeply humbled and grateful to receive this award for outstanding performances from my wonderful people of Osina.”
He added that the award would be an encouragement for him to do more for the Branch and community. “To be recognized in this way for my work, by my marvellous Osina people, is incredibly significant and welcomed. It motivates me to continue striving to make more positive impacts and always give my very best.
“I promise to continue showing my unalloyed unhindered support and doing my utmost to make you all proud. This award will inspire me to reach new heights and to keep making a difference in any way I can,” he said.
He also averred that all he has contributed towards upliftment of Osina were made possible by his own people’s encouragement and remained eternally grateful to them. “None of this would be possible without all of you, my great Osina people. To our honorable leaders, the organizers of this event, and each and every one of my wonderful people of Osina, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. I am honoured beyond words.”
Sir (Pharm) Emeka Pallins Umeh (KSJI) revealed that Osina would always hold a special place in his heart. “My people, thank you again for this tremendous honour. I am humbled, grateful, and excited for what the future holds. Osina will always hold a special place in my heart.”
In handing over the award, Chairman of Osina Town Union Lagos Branch, Chief Aloysius Chukwudi Emeh (Okadigbo na Osina) commended Sir (Pharm) Emeka Pallins Umeh (KSJI) for his continued assistance to the branch and community.
He said “We appreciate what you are doing in Osina community and we urge you to keep it up.”
