Matawalle, Yari’s Zamfara visit brings big hope, relief – APC Akida

A group in the All Progressives Congress, APC Akida, has expressed delight over the recent visit of Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Matawalle and Senator Abdulaziz Yari, saying it brought big hope and relief to the people of
the state.

The AUTHORITY reports that Matawalle, had recently wrapped up a six-day visit to Zamfara State, delivering relief and renewed hope to communities struggling with economic difficulties.

In a statement on Thursday, the Zamfara APC Akida (ZAA), through its Publicity Secretary, Comrade Abdullahi Kurya, described the visit as a “milestone” in tackling the region’s challenges and reaffirming the federal government’s commitment to marginalized areas.

“The visit, accompanied by Senator Abdulaziz Yari, marked by impactful engagements and life-changing interventions, underscores the federal government’s dedication to alleviating poverty and addressing the needs of the people,” Kurya stated.

The delegation spent three days each in Gusau and Maradun, distributing vital palliatives aimed at easing the economic hardship faced by residents.

“These interventions have provided immediate relief and sparked gratitude and optimism within the affected communities,” the statement noted.

Kurya highlighted the contrast between the current administration’s proactive efforts and past challenges, emphasizing the federal government’s focus on conflict-affected regions like Zamfara.

He pointed to the ongoing dualisation of the Zaria-Sokoto Road as a significant infrastructure project under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, aimed at boosting economic activities in the North West.

“The dualisation of the Zaria-Sokoto Road is a testament to the administration’s dedication to enhancing connectivity and fostering economic growth in the region,” Kurya added.

Zamfara, once plagued by governance and security challenges, is now witnessing a transformation under the current federal leadership. The warm reception of the delegation by residents was seen as a sign of their optimism and confidence in these interventions.

“This visit demonstrates the administration’s commitment to addressing urgent challenges, uplifting communities, and ensuring no Nigerian is left behind,” Kurya remarked.

The group concluded by offering prayers for the safe return of Dr. Matawalle and Senator Yari, commending their efforts to improve the welfare of the people.
