The Senate, through its Senate Committee on Army has praised the Nigerian Army for its unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and security in the North East and other parts of the country.

Senator Sen. Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, Chairman Senate Committee on Army
in a statement on Tuesday, commended the Army’s bravery and selflessness, particularly in the face of terrorism.

The Senator expressed his deepest condolences to the families of personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice during recent operations. He acknowledged that the nation owes a debt of gratitude to these heroes, who have laid down their lives to protect their countrymen.

The Nigerian Army’s efforts to combat terrorism have marked a significant milestone, and Senator Abdu urged the government to prioritize the Army’s needs, providing necessary funding and support. This, he believes, will ensure the Army’s continued success in its endeavors.

As the nation continues to grapple with the challenges of terrorism, Senator Abdu called on all Nigerians to rally behind the Nigerian Army. He emphasized the importance of supporting the Army’s efforts to eradicate terrorism and ensure a safer, more secure Nigeria.

The Nigerian Army has been working tirelessly to boost its capabilities, with plans to invest in modern technology for training and combat. The Army has also prioritized soldier welfare, focusing on accommodation and motivation. With the government’s support and the nation’s backing, the Nigerian Army is poised to overcome the challenges of terrorism and secure a brighter future for all Nigerians.
