Buoyed by the need to sustain discipline, hard work and respect to human rights,the Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma has charged the newly recruited General-Duty Police Constables of the 2022 batch who were posted back to Imo State, their state of origin, in line with the community policing initiative of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM to uphold the professional ethics in execution of their duties.
Danjuma gave this charge on Thursday while receiving the Constables at the State Police Headquarters, Owerri reminding them of the need to uphold the highest standards of discipline, professionalism, and accountability while serving the public with humility and integrity.
He urged them to bring smiles to the faces of Imolites by aligning with the vision and mission of the Inspector General of Police: to build a Nigeria Police Force that is professionally competent, service-driven, rule-of-law compliant, and people-friendly.
Danjuma further assured the public that the constables would undergo periodic on-the-job training to equip them with the skills needed to address the evolving security challenges in Imo State and the Nation at large.
