Crime: Security agencies make multiple  arrests nationwide

In a series of coordinated operations, Nigerian security agencies have arrested several individuals suspected of various crimes, including gunrunning, job racketeering, and possession of illegal firearms.

According to a press release issued by CSC Afolabi Babawale, the Public Relations Officer of the National Headquarters in Abuja, the arrests were made in different parts of the country.

In Bauchi State, Lar Changkur, a volunteer with the Nigerian Forest Security Services, was arrested for alleged involvement in gunrunning. This arrest is a significant milestone in the fight against arms proliferation and related crimes in the region.

In another operation, Felix Clerkson, a 62-year-old man, was arrested in Nasarawa Eggon for job racketeering. This arrest highlights the commitment of Nigerian security agencies to protecting citizens from exploitation and fraud.

Furthermore, three individuals – Umar Ibrahim (35), Nura Abubakar (20), and Mohammed Sule (20) – were arrested in Ukoso Komva Ward for possession of illegal firearms. This arrest is a significant step towards reducing the proliferation of small arms and light weapons in the country.

These arrests demonstrate the effectiveness of Nigerian security agencies in combating crime and ensuring public safety. The agencies’ efforts to disrupt and dismantle criminal networks are yielding positive results, and citizens are encouraged to cooperate with the authorities to ensure a safer and more secure environment for all.
