FNLYLPPN fires back at AAC over allegations

By Mercy Aikoye

The Forum of National Youth Leaders of All Political Parties in Nigeria (FNLYLPPN) has released a statement in response to allegations made by the African Action Congress (AAC). The AAC had accused the FNLYLPPN of being “political jobbers” who support the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The FNLYLPPN stated that it is disturbing to see individuals exploiting the pains of the Nigerian people for cheap political gains. The forum emphasized that it has been in existence since 2013 and has maintained its independence, never being accused of working for the ruling party or accepting bribes.

The FNLYLPPN highlighted its objectives, which include fostering unity among young Nigerians, providing a platform for advancing youth concerns, and promoting youth inclusion in politics and governance. The forum noted that it has facilitated several programs and events to protect the interests of youth in the political space.

The AAC’s allegations were deemed hypocritical, given the AAC’s own reputation for blackmail and controversy. The FNLYLPPN questioned the AAC’s motives, suggesting that they may be part of a larger political agenda.

The FNLYLPPN denied allegations of receiving 30 million Naira to endorse President Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, labeling the claims as unfounded and untrue. The forum emphasized its 15-year history of independence and integrity.

The FNLYLPPN called on Nigerians to disregard the AAC’s allegations and instead support the forum’s efforts to promote youth inclusion in politics and governance. The forum also advised the AAC to focus on resolving its internal issues rather than spreading false accusations.

The FNLYLPPN reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the youth agenda and promoting national development. The forum expressed its willingness to continue working with Nigerians to achieve its goals.

The statement was signed by Hon. Chinazam Ike, ADP NYL, Co-Chairman of the FNLYLPPN, and Comrade Eze Chukwu Onyebuchi, APGA NYL, Co-Chairman of the FNLYLPPN. ‎
