Breaking: Uba Sani Champions War on Root Cause of Conflicts at Interfaith Anniversary

Kaduna State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive governance and sustainable peace, leveraging interfaith dialogue as a tool for unity.

At a high-profile Prayer Breakfast marking the World Interfaith Harmony Week, top officials, including Dr. James Kanyip, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, emphasized Governor Uba Sani’s dedication to addressing the root causes of conflict and ensuring that all citizens, regardless of faith or background, have a stake in the State’s progress.

The event, organized by the Joint Initiative for Strategic Religious Action (JISRA) and the Kaduna State Peace Commission (KSPC), underscored the administration’s belief that peace and security are strengthened through mutual understanding and collaboration.

Acting Executive Vice Chairperson of KSPC, Hajiya Khadija Hawaja Gambo, echoed this sentiment, stressing that embracing diversity with empathy and respect is key to lasting social harmony.

Also present was Barr. Tahir Umar Tahir, Director-General of the Kaduna State Bureau of Interfaith, who reiterated the government’s openness to partnerships that foster religious harmony.

Meanwhile, JISRA’s Country Coordinator, Jude Likita, emphasized the need for continued dialogue and advocacy for Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB), a principle at the heart of the organization’s peace-building efforts.

The prayer breakfast brought together religious leaders, government officials, and community members, serving as a powerful reminder that Kaduna’s future lies in inclusivity, unity, and collective action against divisive forces.

Governor Uba Sani’s administration continues to set a precedent for peaceful coexistence, reinforcing Kaduna’s role as a model for interfaith collaboration and mutual respect in Nigeria.
