Senator advocates for collaborative leadership in the 10th Senate

By Abbanobi -Eku Onyekachi, Abuja

Senator Abba Moro, the Minority Leader of the Senate, has emphasized the importance of constructive collaboration over needless confrontations in his leadership style. Moro, who represents Benue South, made this statement in his office while speaking to journalists covering the Senate over the weekend.

According to Moro, his approach to minority leadership is centered on collaborative governance, rather than confrontation. He believes that working together with the ruling party will ultimately benefit Nigerians. “Minority Leadership to me is not for confrontation but constructive collaboration with those in the ruling party for good governance for Nigerians,” he stated.

Moro’s stance was reinforced by the “Collaborative Leadership for Good Governance” award presented to him by the Senate Press Corps. He expressed gratitude for the recognition, which he sees as a justification of his leadership approach. Moro emphasized his commitment to collaboration and compromise, highlighting their significance in effective governance.

The senator’s comments suggest a shift towards a more cooperative approach in the 10th Senate, one that prioritizes the nation’s interests over partisan differences. By promoting collaborative leadership, Moro aims to contribute to a more productive and effective legislative environment.
