A controversy has erupted within a major political party, with allegations of manipulated tactics by Udeh Okoye aimed at undermining the rightful candidacy of Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu for the position of national secretary.
In a statement, by the Convener, Concerned PDP Forum, Odih Afe Rowland, said Udeh Okoye recently took a manipulated version of the party’s constitution to the High Court in Enugu, in a bid to legitimize his claim to the position. However, the forum has come out strongly against the move, describing it as a desperate attempt to subvert the truth.
“We will not stand idly by, while Udeh Okoye attempts to manipulate the system to his advantage,” said Rowland, a prominent supporter of Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu. “
According to our party’s constitution, resignation from the National Working Committee (NWC) is only official after winning an election and being sworn in. This rule was reaffirmed at our last convention, clarifying that resignation occurs after being sworn in, not before.
Udeh Okoye’s actions are a clear attempt to undermine this rule and seize power through dubious means.”
As someone committed to justice and truth, I firmly believe that Samuel Anyanwu deserves to hold the position of national secretary. I urge everyone to stand with me in support of truth and fairness.”
The forum argues that Samuel Anyanwu’s candidacy is rightful and in line with the party’s constitution. They have called on the party leadership to intervene and ensure that the democratic process is upheld.
The controversy has sparked widespread debate within the party, with many members expressing outrage over Udeh Okoye’s alleged manipulation. As the situation continues to unfold, one thing is clear: Udo Okoye’s tactics will not go unchallenged.
“The truth will prevail, and justice will be served,” said the supporter. “We will continue to stand up for what is right and ensure that the party’s democratic principles are upheld.”
