Senator Solomon Adeola, chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, has expressed deep sadness over the demise of Alhaja Falilat Anike Salako, mother of Dr. Isiaq Adekunle Salako, Minister of State for Health. Alhaja Salako passed away yesterday at the age of 95 and will be buried later today according to Islamic rites.
Senator Adeola described the loss as a sad blow not only to the minister’s family but also to Ogun West and Ogun State. “I received the news with great sadness,” he said. “Alhaja Salako was a revered community and religious leader who raised her children and wards with strong values and education” ¹.
The senator praised Alhaja Salako as a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, leaving behind a legacy worthy of emulation. He prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and fortitude for her family to bear the irreparable loss.
Senator Adeola concluded by acknowledging the lasting impact of Alhaja Salako’s life, noting that she left behind a legacy worthy of emulation. He offered a heartfelt prayer for her soul to rest peacefully in Aljanna Firdaus and for her family to find the strength to bear the irreparable loss of their beloved matriarch.
