Governor Sule to deliver 13th Verbatim anniversary lecture April 3

…Katsina, Zamfara, Edo Governor’s, others to bag Verbatim Star Awards

Nasarawa state Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule will on April 3, 2025, serve as the Guest Speaker of the 13th anniversary lecture of the Verbatim Magazine and Star Awards holding in Abuja.

Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, Registrar/CEO of the National Examinations Council (NECO), will be the Chairman of the historic occasion.

Details of the event, contained in a press statement released on Monday, in Abuja, by the management of Verbatim stated that, “as Guest Speaker, Governor Sule will deliver a public lecture on, “Nigeria, the changing times & challenge of leadership: candid views of an uncommon patriot.”

At the occasion, Governor Sule who has earlier been voted by the editors of Verbatim as ‘Governor of the Year’2024, for Good governance and integrity in Service delivery’ will be presented with the award, while the Registrar of NECO will receive ‘Transformational Leadership in Examination Management’ award, according to the press statement.

Verbatim also announced In the release jointly signed by Tobs Agbaegbu, Editor-in-Chief of Verbatim Magazine and Ibrahim Modibbo, Chairman, Board of Editors, that three other state Governors will receive Exemplary Leadership awards at the event.

The Governors were named as Dikko Umaru Radda (Katsina), Dauda Lawal (Zamfara) and Monday Okpepholo (Edo).

Other awardees were listed as: Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, as ‘Minister of the Year’, two renowned Professor, Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, Vice Chancellor, Nasarawa State University, Keffi and Mojisola Adeyeye, Director General, National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), both, for Distinguished Patriot Award.

Others to receive prestigious award from Verbatim are two members of the National Assembly, Hon (Prof.) Paul S. Nnamchi and Hon. Gboyega Nasiru Isiaka, (GNI), for Quality Leadership and Excellence in Legislative Performance. Popular Journalist and TV Program Anchor at Arise News television in Nigeria, Ojinika Okpe, will also receive Verbatim Award as Investigative Journalist of the Year while gospel music icon, Dr. Jude Nnam will receive Gospel Music Artist of the Year award.

Verbatim explained that arrangements have been concluded to make the award ceremony and 13th anniversary program, a huge success. ‘’About 10 days to our great event, we can assure our invitees of good treat.

The anniversary lecture and award presentation ceremony will be aired live in NTA and TVC television stations, to ensure that Nigerians and our global audience are given opportunity to participate and enjoy, where ever they find themselves on Thursday, April 3, from 4pm’’, the statement ended.
