The Acting Director General of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Barrister (Mrs) Evan Enekwe has sent her Easter goodwill message to Christians in which she noted that the celebration of the glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ has led to acknowledgement of Christ as universal King,
Said her, “I extend warm Easter greetings to our esteemed ALGON Leadership Chairmen, Partners, members, and the good people of our communities. May the light of the Risen Christ shine upon us, illuminating our paths with hope, joy, and peace.
I seize this opportunity to commend both the interfaith love amongst Christians and Muslims with tolerance and unwavering dedication. Few weeks ago we had a joyful Sallah celebration and today we celebrate again the Easter with shared love.
“On behalf of the Secretariat, I convey their wishes to all the ALGON Leaders, the Chairmen and members, working tirelessly to promote local government development.
“May lessons of this Season abide in us all to continue to foster synergy, cooperation, and unity among ourselves, harnessing our collective strengths to drive progress and prosperity in our local communities.
