APC stakeholders hold peace meeting in AMAC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Abuja Municipal Area Council on Thursday met and deepened discussions on the need to end grievances and work for a lasting peace amongst members.

Speaking at the, “APC unity/reconciliation meeting” major supporters urged the aggrieved members that have been at loggerheads for years to bury the differences and unite for the party interest.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Christopher Maikalangu, appealed to members unhappy to put aside their differences and work towards a common goal of advancing the party’s interests and serving the good people of the Federal Capital Territory.

Maikàlangu who joined the ruling party few weeks ago said, I appreciate all the stakeholders for the tireless efforts in strengthening our great party, the APC in AMAC.

“In the spirit of unity, let us put aside our differences and work towards a common goal of advancing our party’s interests and serving the good people of the FCT. By doing so, we will not only strengthen our party but also make a meaningful impact on the lives of our citizens.

“In this process of reconciliation and peace building, we all have to accept the fact that we have all made mistakes, individually and collectively, we have lied against each other, threatened each other, intimidated each other, trampled and cheated one another, but our coming together is the answer, bad days are over”

Chairman of the unity/reconciliation meeting, Senator Jibrin Wowo called on the two leaders, former Chairman of AMAC, Abdullahi Candido and Yakubu Karshi, an APC stalwart to forgive, forget and forged ahead.

They two actors hugged themselves after deliberation and promised to work together to move APC forward in the Federal Capital Territory.

The meeting had in attendance Party Excos, stakeholders, Gwagwalada and Kuje Area Council Chairmen and some national leaders.
