History is again unfolding, as Imo State Government owned Benjamin Uwajumogu (State) College of Education, Ihitte Uboma has advanced plans to hold her maiden convocation ceremony since inception over 10 years ago.
Recall last year, the institution based on the State government supports and her management commitments to educational upliftment and transformation made a historical landmark achievement, as over 22 of her registered courses received full accreditations from the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE).
According to Dr. Mrs. Maryrose Nwachukwu , the Acting Provost of the College , the convocation ceremony will be given impetus to graduates of the institution, who were found worthy both in character and learning to be issued Post Graduate Diploma Certificate in Education, PGDE, National Certificate in Education, NCE among others.
Already the school is wearing a transformational new look for the evergreen event slated for Saturday 24th May, 2025 at the College Convocation Arena, while the students, staff and management of the College are in happy moods awaiting the day.
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State who the Acting Provost described as “educationally loving ambassador Governor” and a Special Visitor to the College has been detailed as a Special Guest of Honour.
Nwachukwu further expressed gratitude to Governor Uzodimma for giving the College a face lift as well as prompt concerns to all the needs and aspiration of the College.
She pointed out that the accelerated development and massive infrastructural transformations recently witnessed in the College is as a result of the tremendous support and encouragement from the Shared Prosperity administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma and vowed that her management would never take such trust and confidence for granted.
