There are strong indications that all is now set for this Saturday’s commissioning cum dedication of the multi billion Naira Assemblies of God Church,Ogbor Uvuru in Aboh Mbaise local government area of Imo State, the first of its kind symbolization of the biblical Noah’s Ark Church building.
Already, the ancient but peaceful Ogbor Uvuru community is wearing a new look in terms of environmental and infrastructural developments, while the people seems to be in festive mood with pomp and pageantry. The rural community have suddenly become hubs of socioeconomic activities.
Chief Sunday Nwaiwu, a 60 year old indigene and resident of the area told this reporter that the people are happy and looking forward for the historical programme that would also put the community in the global map as pilgrimage and tourist center.
Nwaiwu while praying for God’s abundant blessings to Barr. Engr. Success Obioma Akagburuonye, the philanthropic financier of the masterpiece architecturally designed building edifice also informed that, the community for the past two weeks have witnessed beehives of impressive environmental and infrastructural activities with inflow of visitors including security agents.
He further pointed out that for the first time in recent times, all the hotels in the area including her neighbouring communities have been fully booked and that the communities have equally witnessed socioeconomic boost.
Interestingly, this reporter equally gathered that many nationally and global personalities have given their assurances to grace the historical dedication ceremonies slated to hold this Saturday 24th May, 2025 , among whom are the former President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, the Executive Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, Rev. Dr Sarah Seoh of Los Angeles, USA, traditional rulers, captains of industry, political leaders, among other dignitaries.It’s also pertinent to inform that the ecclesiastical architecture, which was philanthropically built by Engr. Barr. Obioma Success Akagburuonye, a real estate mogul and an Ambassador of Kingdom Investment for his home Church will be commissioned and dedicated by the General Superintendent, Assemblies of God Church, Nigeria, Rev. Abel Ukachi Amadi, Ph.D.The Ark, a replica of the Biblical Noah’s Ark, in form, shape and service, has the same spiritual mandate of saving everyone that casts no doubt of the power of God that delivers unto the uttermost.The event is also expected to witness a mammoth crowd of faithfuls, tourists and pilgrims as the news of the first-of-its-kind church auditorium has spread across the continent as a centre for spiritual succour.Akagburuonye, a die-hard Kingdom investor, philanthropist and Founder of Hope Rising for Imolites, who said he built the Church by the inspiration and direction of Holy Spirit captured the implications of the Ark thus:”The Noah’s Ark Church is a symbol of faith, obedience, and salvation. Noah’s story is a powerful reminder of God’s promise to save those who trust in Him. According to the biblical account, Noah and his family spent over 40 years constructing the ark, following God’s detailed instructions. As he built the ark, many mocked him, questioning the purpose and relevance of his endeavor. Yet, Noah persevered, trusting in God’s promises. And when the flood came, it was those who mocked him that were swept away, while Noah, his family, and the animals found safety in the ark. “Even the snail, often slow and seemingly insignificant, found refuge in the ark, escaping the deluge that destroyed everything else.This story teaches us a valuable lesson of faithfulness and obedience to God. I believe that anyone who comes to the Ark to call on God Almighty, he or she will be saved, and their desires will be accomplished. This has been decreed by God. It’s a place for physical and spiritual safety. This is in line with the Biblical injunction that, “Anybody that comes to the Ark to call on God for help and salvation will be saved.”It’s also the prayer of the donor that as the Ark is unveiled and dedicated to the glory of God, that the grace with which it was built will surely be sufficient for everyone that steps into it for salvation,miracles and wonders.
