The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has commended Governor Uba Sani for his inclusive style of governance and the success of the Kaduna Peace Model, which he said has significantly contributed to the restoration of peace and security in Kaduna State.
The Army Chief gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to the Governor at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna, as part of activities marking the 2025 Army Day Celebration, which Kaduna State is proudly hosting.
Lieutenant General Oluyede also expressed appreciation for the Kaduna State Government’s continued support to the Nigerian Army and other security agencies operating in the state.
In his remarks, Governor Uba Sani lauded the dedication of the Chief of Army Staff and the Nigerian Army to the unity, peace, and development of the country. He said the Army’s sacrifices in defending Nigeria against criminal elements remain deeply appreciated.
“Nigerians owe our troops immense gratitude for their service and courage,” the Governor stated.
He further acknowledged the Army’s contributions to improved security in Kaduna through effective collaboration with other agencies. According to him, the Kaduna Peace Model has delivered tangible results, particularly in communities that were once troubled.
Governor Sani reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to providing logistical support and deepening partnerships with the military and other security agencies to sustain the progress made.
He noted that Kaduna continues to serve as both a home and strategic hub for the Nigerian Armed Forces, with many officers having undergone training at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, or the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji.
On behalf of the government and people of Kaduna State, Governor Sani welcomed the Nigerian Army to Kaduna for the 2025 Army Day Celebration and wished them a successful event and a pleasant stay.
“May this occasion further strengthen our shared commitment to a secure and united Kaduna, and Nigeria,” he said.
