2027: Okigwe, Owerri zones will not let Ndi Imo down says Longers Anyanwu

Ahead of 2027 gubernatorial election, Chief Longers Anyanwu has assured Imo State populace that the people of Okigwe and Owerri Senatorial Zones will never disappoint them, as plans have been advanced for both to work in brotherly synergy.

Anyanwu who’s popularly known as Ebubedike Obowo, gave this assurance last Friday at the Paradise on earth ancestral home of Chief Tony Chukwu,(Onweghi Ihe Kariri Chineke), shortly after the burial of Ezinne Catherine Ngozi Chukwu, the step mother of the multi billionaire business mogul and political godfather in response to Owerri political leaders led by Prince Charles Amadi,(Shavon) speech while paying condolence to the bereaved.

It’s pertinent to recall that, after the burial activities that was attended by unprecedented global personalities and crowd, Prince Charles Amadi with eminent political leaders from Owerri Senatorial Zone that included Prince Alex Mbata, Chief Henry Njoku, Barr.Marcellinus Nlemigbo, ( Marcon), Barr. Willie Amadi and Okenze Sylvester Obinna.

Others include, Barr. Enyinnaya Onuegbu, Dr Uzoma Obiyo, Barr. Kingsley Ononuju, Chief Chidi Ibe mfr, and others too numerous to mention were hosted inside one of Tony Chukwu’s splendidly furnished private living room called ” Golden Ave Maria”, where the influential business icon, in company of some prominent members of Okigwe Global Leaders Forum, (OKGLF) led by HRM Eze Dr. Oliver Ohanwe,(Obi Gburu Gburu), Chief Longers Anyanwu, Prof Remy Uche, Hon. Ifeanyi Agwu,PhD, Hon. Bright Nwachukwu and a host of others, welcomed the special delegation.

While the bereaved gave kola nuts to Eze Ohanwe as tradition demands to welcome the important political leaders from Owerri Senatorial Zone, the revered traditional ruler asked, Chief Longers Anyanwu to appreciate the delegation for their solidarity .

Speaking, Anyanwu who’s Obowo local government area born political juggernaut thanked the powerful delegation from Owerri Senatorial Zone for their show of love and solidarity to Chukwu’s family over the demise and befitting burial of their beloved wife and step mother.

The Ebubedike of Obowo unequivocally stated that it is evidently obvious that Okigwe and Owerri Senatorial Zones should be united, so as to work together in the near future to ensure that the works of Imo State visionary and purposeful Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma is continued even after completion of his tenure in 2028.

Anyanwu assured the Imo people, particularly some strong Orlu Senatorial Zone political leaders who were equally present during the brotherly love inspired political caucus interactions, like Engr Chibuike Achigbo,(Akushia),Dr Henry Okafor,Nze Chinasa Nwaneri etc that it’s imperative that Okigwe and Owerri Senatorial Zones should strike a balance in presenting a successor who will be a symbol of the philosophy and spirit of the Shared Prosperity and 3R administrative mantra of Governor Hope uzodimma.

Anyanwu advised those who he allegedly said are desperately sowing seeds of discord and acrimony between Okigwe and Owerri Senatorial Zones to desist, saying it point blank that, “all of us gathered here, belongs to one political family, and under the apex leadership of Senator Hope Uzodimma”.

Responding, on behalf of the Owerri political Leaders, Chief Henry Njoku, (Harritex) endorsed and confirmed Chief Anyanwu’s assertion as been in line with Owerri political leaders position and stand, in the forthcoming political dispensation.

Njoku frankly extolled the leadership qualities and roles, Chief Tony Chukwu plays and continued to play in building a stable and cohesive Imo State of all and sundry dreams.

He also prayed to God to give him the fortitude to bear the lost of his beloved step mother whom he also described as a mother to all and an epitome of service to God and humanity.

The ambassador of political equity and natural justice further reassured that Owerri Senatorial Zone will continue to rub minds with their Okigwe brothers to ensure that the successor of Governor Uzodimma equitably comes from either of the zones with absolute compliance to the governor’s directive and mandate.

However, Chief Longers Anyanwu, declared that, “the talk has began it will definitely end in praises”.
