Youth leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja Municipal Area Council have called for unity and reconciliation among members, especially those aggrieved by the outcome of the recent primary election conducted ahead of the main poll slated for 2026.
Speaking on behalf of the leaders at a meeting put together by the APC AMAC youth leader, Hon. Robert Ach-Ugbede said they have declared chairman of the council Christopher Maikàlangu as a ” Complete chairman” which they said is motivated by his loudable achievements in the last three years.
Ach-Ugbede appealed to the youth and other stakeholders across the twelve political wards to support Maikàlangu in the forthcoming election to win and continue with the good projects.
“The number of completed and ongoing projects in AMAC under Maikàlangu is a pointer to good work and the zeal to do more projects in AMAC” he said.
He said his victory will help him to consolidate on president Bola Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda in the rural areas and beyond.
On his part, the APC national youth leader Dr Dayo Israel called on the leaders in Abuja Municipal Area Council to be united and work for the party’s victory come 2026.
He said AMAC election will represent a picture of what the 2027 election holds for the party and FCT.
“Let us work for our party’s victory from bottom to the top, starting with the AMAC election which is going to be in 2026. When Maikàlangu wins it will set the stage for Tinubu and APC’s victory in 2027.
“Our party is one family, if there are challenges we will discuss and resolve them as a family. AMAC is special to us, so let’s deliver it to APC” Israel said.
