NASC appoints Odo as Ag-Clerk of Senate

The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) has approved the appointment of Mr. Emmanuel Odo, as the Acting Clerk of the Senate.
The Commission approved the appointment on Tuesday during the 6th Commission’s 10th Meeting, according to Emmanuel N Anyigor,
Deputy Director, Information/ Spokesperson, NASC.

“I write to inform you that the 6th Commission at its 10th Meeting held on Tuesday, 16th September, 2025, approved your appointment as Acting Clerk, Senate in the National Assembly w.e.f. from 16/09/2025. This is in exercise of its powers as provided in Section 6(b) of the National Assembly Service Act, 2014,” Dr. Saviour Enyiekere, the Executive Chairman of the Commission, wrote in the appointment letter he signed.
He added that Odo’s appointment was in recognition of his hard work and administrative competence and urged him to work hard to uphold the confidence the Commission reposed on him.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Odo was Deputy Clerk, Senate (Administration).
