North-Central APC Forum call for Yilwatda’s resignation “reckless, ill-motive” – APC G3

The APC Grassroots Governance Group (APC G3) has urged party faithfuls to ignore a statement attributed to the North-Central All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum, which expressed regret over pushing for the appointment of a person from the region as National Chairman of the APC.

The Forum had criticized National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda’s performance, accusing him of promoting a religious agenda and using the office to advance his selfish political interests in Plateau State.

However, the APC G3 described the Forum’s call as “reckless and with ill-motive.”

In a press release, the National Coordinator, Chuks Oyema, defended Yilwatda’s performance, stating that he has stabilized the party and attracted new members within a short time.

The APC G3 questioned the Forum’s motives, asking, “Who are they working for? Enemies of the party? Or those who are not happy with what our National Chairman is doing?”

“Are they PDP members pretending to be in the same party with us?” the APC G3 said

The group also defended Yilwatda against accusations of promoting a religious agenda, stating that his faith should not be an issue.

“Professor Nentawe Yilwatda never plays with his faith as a Christian, and that should not be a problem to a so-called forum that should be promoting religious coexistence, which the APC stands for.

“Since his assumption of office, Yilwatda has attracted new members, and more are coming to boost the party’s chances in future elections.

“The Forum pretends to have keyed into the Tinubu 2027 project and same time against a National Chairman who is a die hard supporter of the President. The National Chairman is quietly spreading the Renewed Hope Agenda across the country.

“Or maybe the intellectual input of the National Chairman in preaching the Renewed Hope Agenda is difficult for the so called Forum to comprehend.

“He will never block anyone with genuine intentions,” the APC G3 said, adding that Yilwatda has performed creditably within a short time.

“Party faithfuls should disregard the call of the so-called forum,” the group concluded.
