The Nyesom Wike-backed PDP faction has inaugurated a 13-member national caretaker committee, led by Abdulrahman Mohammed, to oversee the party for 60 days.
Addressing journalists after the 104th NEC meeting in Abuja, on Sunday, chairman of the BoT, Mao Ohaunbwa said the committee will conduct pending congresses in affected states of Anambra,Ekiti,Oyo, Bauchi, Rivers, with a national convention.
He said the decision follows the expiration of the current National Working Committee (NWC) tenure.
Responding on behalf of the committee,the national chairman, Abdulrahman Muhammed pledged his team commitment to rebuild the party for better outing.
He assured all members that their interests will be protected in all states, saying most of the members that left the party will return.
