Former Senate President Ahmad Lawan has been conferred with a prestigious Award of Excellence for his outstanding support to grassroots mobilisation and national development. The award was presented at the inauguration of the Executive Committees of the 19 Northern States and the Federal Capital Territory chapter of the Tinubu House-to-House Network in Dutse, Jigawa State ¹.

Senator Lawan, who serves as a Patron of the influential political network, was recognised for his leadership and contributions to the development of the northern region. The Tinubu House-to-House Network is a grassroots political organisation dedicated to promoting the ideals and policies of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The inauguration ceremony was a launchpad for galvanizing support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda across the northern region ahead of the 2027 elections. Speaking at the event, Comrade Bashir Sharif, National Secretary of the Tinubu House-to-House Network, lauded Senator Lawan’s role as a stabilizing force and respected voice in northern politics.

Comrade Sharif echoed Senator Lawan’s promise that the northern region would deliver at least 75% of its votes to ensure President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. “This award speaks to his leadership and our collective resolve,” he said.

Senator Lawan has been a strong supporter of President Tinubu’s administration, and his contributions to national development have been widely recognised. In 2022, he received the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Platinum Award of Excellence for Leadership from the Northeast APC Youth Stakeholders Forum.

The award is a testament to Senator Lawan’s commitment to public service and his dedication to the development of Nigeria. As a seasoned politician and former Senate President, he has played a significant role in shaping the country’s political landscape.

The Tinubu House-to-House Network has vowed to work tirelessly to ensure President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, and Senator Lawan’s award is seen as a boost to their efforts.
