Hon. Abbas Tajudeen described the attack as unfortunate and unacceptable. He lamented that soft targets like schools and places of worship have been attacked in recent times. “We cannot continue to live in fear of these terrorists,” he said.

He emphasized the need for collective efforts to make Nigeria a safe place for people, property, and businesses. Hon. Abbas restated his confidence in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to reverse this troubling trend. “We must work together to ensure the safety and security of our citizens,” he stressed.

The Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, has been commended for providing the needed leadership at the sub-national level. Kaduna has witnessed relative peace since the governor assumed office in May 2023. Hon. Abbas highlighted the Governor’s visit to the Kurmin Wali community as a testament to his commitment and determination to secure the people’s lives and property in the state.

“The Governor’s visit is a demonstration of his concern for the safety and well-being of the people,” Hon. Abbas said. He prayed for the safe return of the abducted worshippers to their families and community.
He further charged security agencies to act swiftly in rescuing the abducted worshippers and apprehending the perpetrators.
