The APC Grassroots Governance Group (APC G3) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what it described as bold, consistent and results-oriented reforms aimed at stabilising Nigeria’s economy and repositioning it for long-term growth.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the National Coordinator of the group, Amechi Chuks Oyema, said recent commendations from the World Bank validated the administration’s reform agenda and demonstrated that Nigeria was on the right path.
Oyema noted that the World Bank’s description of Nigeria as a global reference point for reform implementation underscored the credibility of President Tinubu’s policies, particularly in the areas of fiscal discipline, exchange rate unification and subsidy removal.
“The recognition from the World Bank is a strong endorsement of President Tinubu’s courage and leadership. These reforms were difficult but necessary, and today the international community is acknowledging the progress Nigeria has made within a short period,” Oyema said.
He praised the president for remaining steadfast despite early economic challenges, stressing that consistency and transparency had helped to restore investor confidence and attract renewed interest from the private sector.
According to Oyema, the administration’s focus on infrastructure development, agricultural modernisation, job creation and improved access to finance for small and medium enterprises aligns with the aspirations of ordinary Nigerians at the grassroots.
“The emphasis on agriculture, infrastructure and youth employment shows that this government understands the needs of the people. These reforms are not abstract policies; they are designed to create jobs, reduce poverty and build a $1 trillion economy,”he said.
The APC G3 coordinator urged Nigerians to exercise patience and continue to support the Tinubu administration, noting that meaningful reforms often come with short-term pain but deliver long-term gains.
“We appeal to Nigerians not to lose faith. The initial difficulties, including inflationary pressures, are easing, and the benefits of these reforms will become more evident with time. There is no alternative to staying the course,” Oyema added.
He also called on stakeholders across the public and private sectors to partner with the federal government in driving inclusive growth, assuring that APC G3 would continue to mobilise grassroots support for policies that promote accountability, economic stability and national development.
Oyema reaffirmed the group’s commitment to supporting President Tinubu’s reform agenda, describing it as irreversible and critical to securing Nigeria’s future prosperity.
