From Cyriacus Nnaji, Lagos

Direct Selling and Wellness global company, QNET, has stressed the need for deeper collaboration with the media as part of efforts to rebuild public trust, strengthen regulatory compliance, and expand ethical entrepreneurship opportunities in 2026.

The company highlighted the position at the company’s New Year media webinar which was held on February 12, 2026, with the theme “Setting the Narrative for the Year.”

Moderated by Kolade Dominate, the session brought together journalists, company executives, and stakeholders to discuss priorities for the year ahead and the role of transparent communication in shaping public perception.

Deputy Regional General Manager, QNET Sub-Saharan Africa, Cherif Bassirou Abdoulaye Sarr, said sustained engagement with credible media institutions had been central to correcting misconceptions about the company’s operations and improving understanding of its direct selling model.

Reflecting on 2025, Sarr noted that collaborative storytelling and open dialogue contributed to more balanced reporting on QNET’s activities, adding that the organisation would intensify focus on innovation, responsible entrepreneurship, and stakeholder transparency in 2026 under the theme “Energised Every Day.”

Also speaking, Regional Legal Counsel, Keasi Fredua Agyeman Danso, described the media as a critical partner in ensuring accurate public information and preventing the spread of misleading narratives about the company’s business structure.

He stressed that proactive information sharing and access to credible sources remain essential to consumer protection and regulatory confidence.

Further insights from the company’s public relations leadership outlined ongoing transparency initiatives, including journalist participation in international conventions, regional engagement forums, and product education expos aimed at improving knowledge of QNET’s offerings and operational standards.

In his keynote remarks, General Manager, QNET Nigeria, Ayokunmi Solesi, said the company is shifting from reactive responses to proactive narrative building anchored on facts, ethical conduct, and continuous stakeholder engagement.

According to Solesi, QNET’s 2026 strategy will rest on three pillars: expanding entrepreneurship opportunities through ethical direct selling, strengthening compliance and consumer protection mechanisms, and advancing research-driven wellness products to meet evolving consumer needs.

He reiterated that the company maintains zero tolerance for brand misuse, fraudulent recruitment, or activities that undermine regulatory standards, noting that stronger collaboration with law enforcement agencies, regulators, and the media will remain a priority.
Describing Nigeria as a strategic market within QNET’s African operations, Solesi said the company would intensify public education on direct selling, deepen institutional partnerships, and reinforce transparency to address persistent misconceptions.
He added that responsible journalism and sustained engagement with stakeholders are vital to building long-term confidence in the sector.

“With narratives grounded in facts and consistency, trust will continue to grow,” Solesi said, expressing optimism about the company’s outlook for 2026.
