The Commissioner of Police in Adamawa state, Dankombo Morris has charged the officers to remain committed to their duties, saying hard work pays.
Morris made the statement while presenting a merit award to Chief Superintendent of Police, Ahmed Rasheed over the weekend.
The Commissioner, who noted that the award was well-deserved, also applauded the officer for demonstrating high level of professionalism in the performance of his duties as the Commander of the CTU 14 Base in Adamawa State.
He noted that CSP Ahmed’s recognition as the Commander of the Year, was a mark of appreciation for his hard work as well as a testimonial to the fact that the officer is well grounded in the activities of the Police.
The Commissioner says the Nigeria Police Force remains committed to rewarding officers who have dedicated themselves to the core values of the Force.
While congratulating CSP Rasheed for the award, Morris emphasized that it was a deliberate policy of the State Command to identify and reward the rank and file of the Force as a way of encouraging them to perform much better.
The CP however, charged CSP Rasheed to continue to exhibit the virtues that have earned him the award in order to become a shining example to others.
