Speaking during the visit, the National Coordinator of the Warri Progressive Frontiers emphasized that their appeal was based on Lawuru’s notable track record in empowerment initiatives and his consistent contributions to human capital development across the constituency.

According to him, Warri Federal Constituency requires credible, visionary, and people-focused representation in the National Assembly, adding that Chief Lawuru possesses the leadership capacity and grassroots connection needed to effectively represent the interests of the people.

He noted that the group, alongside other well-meaning stakeholders in the constituency, believes Lawuru’s experience in community development and empowerment programs makes him well-positioned to provide purposeful representation.

In his response, Chief Promise Lawuru expressed gratitude to the group for the visit and for the confidence they have demonstrated in his leadership.

He stated that while he appreciates the growing calls for him to enter the race, he would first undertake broad consultations with critical stakeholders across the Warri Federal Constituency before making a final decision.

Chief Lawuru also revealed that similar appeals have recently been made by other concerned leaders and stakeholders encouraging him to join the contest.

He assured members of the delegation that he would carefully consider the request and provide them with feedback within the shortest possible time after completing the necessary consultations.
