Why I Am Contesting For State House of Assembly – Dr. Imafidor

Dr. Aminu Imafidor, a respected entrepreneur and one of the emerging young political voices in Edo State, has declared that his decision to contest for the Edo State House of Assembly to represent the good people of Etsako East Constituency is driven by a sincere desire to restore purposeful representation, youth inclusion, and grassroots development.

Speaking to supporters and community leaders across Etsako East, Dr. Imafidor said the time has come for a new generation of leadership that understands the challenges of the people and possesses the energy, competence, and vision to solve them.

According to him, Etsako East, made up of the proud and industrious people of Weppa Wanu, Ibie, and Okpella zones, deserves a representative who will not only speak on the floor of the Assembly but also carry the hopes, pains, and aspirations of the people into government.

“I am contesting because our people deserve quality representation. We need a voice that will defend our interests, attract development, empower our youths, support our women, and create opportunities for our future,” Dr. Imafidor stated.

He noted that despite the enormous human and natural resources in Etsako East, many communities still face poor roads, unemployment, inadequate schools, limited healthcare access, and insufficient economic opportunities.

Dr. Imafidor promised to champion laws and motions that will directly improve the lives of the people, especially in the areas of education, agriculture, entrepreneurship, rural infrastructure, and youth empowerment.

“As an entrepreneur, I understand the importance of creating opportunities. Government must not only provide policies, it must create an environment where businesses can grow, youths can work, and families can prosper,” he said.

The youthful aspirant emphasized that leadership must go beyond politics and become a tool for service, unity, and measurable progress. He pledged to run an inclusive representation where every ward, community, and zone in Etsako East will have a sense of belonging.

Political observers say Dr. Imafidor’s entry into the race has generated fresh excitement among youths, women, professionals, and grassroots stakeholders who see him as a symbol of capacity, intelligence, and generational renewal.

Many supporters believe that his combination of business experience, youthful energy, education, and deep understanding of community needs makes him a strong candidate for the Assembly seat.

Dr. Imafidor also called for unity among the people of Weppa Wanno, Ibie, and Okpella, stressing that the constituency can only move forward when all groups work together with a shared vision of progress.

“Our diversity is our strength. When Weppa Wanu, Ibie, and Okpella stand together, no force can stop the advancement of Etsako East,” he declared.

He concluded by assuring constituents that if elected, he would remain accessible, accountable, and committed to delivering transparent leadership.

As political activities gather momentum ahead of the elections, many across Edo North are already describing Dr. Aminu Imafidor as one of the brightest prospects for a new era of representation in Etsako East Constituency.
