Jones-Nebo assumes office as permanent secretary, career management office

Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has announced the assumption of duty of Nkiruka Jones-Nebo as Permanent Secretary of the Career Management Office (CMO), following her appointment by Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Mrs Jones-Nebo formally took over leadership of the office during a handover ceremony held on Monday in Abuja, marking a new phase for the Career Management Office under the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.

Speaking at the ceremony, the new Permanent Secretary expressed gratitude to God and thanked President Tinubu as well as the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, for the trust placed in her.

According to a statement by the Director, Press and Public Relations, Mrs. Eno Olotu, on Monday, she pledged to uphold excellence in service delivery and to promote a collaborative and productive work environment within the office.

In his remarks, Mohammed Yaro Dantani, the director who had been overseeing the office, outlined the operations of the Career Management Office and emphasized its strategic role in the federal civil service. He called on staff members to give full support to the new Permanent Secretary.
Also speaking, Helen Garpiya, Director of Learning and Development in the OHCSF, thanked attendees for their presence at the ceremony and offered prayers for a successful tenure for Mrs Jones-Nebo.

The event was attended by directors from the Federal Ministry of Justice, where Mrs Jones-Nebo previously served as Director, alongside directors in the Career Management Office, friends and well-wishers.
