The leader of the IFEDICHE POLITICAL FAMILY, a political pressure group within the APC in Enugu State, Dr. Mazi Ezenwa Onyirimba, has called on voters in Aninri/Awgu/Oji River Federal Constituency to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Peter Mbah and all APC candidates during the 2027 general elections.

Dr. Onyirimba made the appeal on Friday during the distribution of farm inputs attracted from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security to farmers in the constituency at the Oji River Local Government Secretariat.

According to him, the agricultural support programme forms part of efforts by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration to boost food production and strengthen agricultural activities across the country. He urged beneficiaries to support and mobilise voters for Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027 within their respective communities.

He further appealed to the farmers to support the re-election of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, noting that the governor had surpassed expectations through his developmental projects across Enugu State within the last three years.

Dr. Onyirimba also reaffirmed his support for the member representing Aninri/Awgu/Oji River Federal Constituency, Hon. Engr. Anayo Onwuegbu, Hon. Osita Ezeh representing Oji River Constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly, alongside other APC candidates in Greater Awgu. He maintained that the party’s decision to return them for a second term remained supreme above personal ambitions.

Represented by his aide, Hon. Chukwuemeka Anukwelu, Onwuegbu praised Onyirimba for demonstrating sportsmanship in politics.

The Authority Newspaper gathered that Dr. Onyirimba had shown interest in contesting for the APC ticket for Aninri/Awgu/Oji River Federal Constituency, but the consensus arrangement adopted by the Enugu State chapter of the party favoured the incumbent, Hon. Engr. Anayo Onwuegbu, FNSE, for a second term ticket.

Also speaking, the APC Chairman in Oji River Local Government Area, Hon. Paul Udebuluzor, applauded Dr. Onyirimba for attracting farm inputs for rural farmers in Greater Awgu and for his dedication to strengthening the party structure. He urged other APC stakeholders to emulate his example.

A prominent APC stakeholder, Barr. Chukwudi Emeribe, also aligned with Udebuluzor’s position, describing Dr. Onyirimba as outstanding among party stakeholders in Greater Awgu due to his passion for grassroots empowerment and human capital development.

On his part, the Special Adviser to Governor Peter Mbah on Youth and Sports, Hon. Nelson Nwangwu, stated that Dr. Onyirimba had contributed immensely to grassroots empowerment in Greater Awgu, adding that he would relay his observations to appropriate authorities.

Earlier in his remarks, the Director-General of IFEDICHE POLITICAL FAMILY, Evangelist Dr. Walter Madu, highlighted several empowerment programmes and projects initiated by Dr. Onyirimba. These, he said, include the revitalisation of 18 non-functional boreholes across Greater Awgu, periodic distribution of palliatives to vulnerable persons, wrappers for women, as well as the provision of farm inputs to farmers in the area last year.

Dr. Madu further disclosed that Dr. Onyirimba facilitated a technology training programme for 300 unemployed graduates from Greater Awgu at the Digital Bridge Institute, Ibagwa Nike, adding that the first batch of trainees had already commenced training.

He explained that the trainees would be automatically employed by the Federal Ministry of Communication upon completion of their courses while also receiving stipends throughout the training period.

According to him, the current distribution of farm inputs for the 2027 farming season, consisting of 1,000 bags of fertilisers and herbicides, would be extended across the 41 wards in Greater Awgu through the ward and local government executives of IFEDICHE POLITICAL FAMILY.
