Hon. Saidu Musa Abdullahi (SMA), member representing Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Constituency and Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Finance, has extended gratitude to leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following his emergence as the party’s consensus candidate.

In a statement released on Saturday, May 16. Abdullahi described his emergence as both an honour and a huge responsibility, noting that it reflects the confidence reposed in his leadership and commitment to the people.

He particularly thanked Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umar Bago, for his support and leadership throughout the process.

“The Governor’s continuous support remains a strong source of motivation,” he said, adding that the governor’s trust has further strengthened Niger State’s voice at the National Assembly.

Abdullahi also appreciated the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, alongside other traditional rulers and religious leaders across the constituency for their prayers, guidance, and commitment to peace and unity.

He extended gratitude to members of the Niger State House of Assembly, local government chairmen, ward councillors, commissioners, party elders, and other stakeholders, noting that their solidarity made the consensus arrangement possible.

The lawmaker further acknowledged APC structures from the national level down to the polling unit level, as well as women groups, youth associations, and trade unions for their unwavering support.

“Their unity, loyalty, and support have been truly overwhelming,” he stated.

Abdullahi also commended other aspirants for embracing dialogue and unity, describing the development as a collective victory for both the APC and the constituency.

He urged his supporters to remain peaceful, avoid insults, and respect all parties involved in the political process.

Reaffirming his commitment to quality representation, Abdullahi pledged to intensify efforts toward delivering impactful projects, humanitarian support, and overall development across Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Constituency.

He also restated his support for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Mohammed Umar Bago’s developmental vision for Niger State.

Abdullahi concluded by praying for sustained peace, unity, and prosperity in Niger State and Nigeria.
