Against the attacks by some political critics that Governor Hope Uzodimma’s recent claim that his administration is currently generating, and distributing 24 hours power supply in most parts of Owerri capital territory of Imo State as a fluke, Hon. Franklin-Kennedy Ibe says he stands by the governor’s claim because it’s a gospel truth.
Ibeh who is the All Progressives Congress, APC Youth Leader in the State disclosed this in Owerri, Imo State capital on Friday while interacting with Journalists on the state of the State, even as he described those countering the Governor’s revelation as people merely playing politics with the truth.
According to the vibrant Imo APC State Youth leader, “the statement by The Peoples Governor Hope Uzodimma, during the Lagos 3.0 Panel, last Monday that Imo State-owned Orashi Electricity is now providing 24-hour electricity supply to some parts of the State capital, as well as certain industrial and commercial establishments, under the pilot scheme or first phase of the power project is one hundred percent true and verifiable.
“Imo State has indeed risen under the Shared Prosperity administration of the people oriented Governor Hope Uzodimma, and Imolites are indeed grateful. There is no argument over an obvious issue. As at present most parts of Owerri metropolis and its environ is enjoying 24 hours electricity supply under the pilot scheme of the Orashi electricity scheme.”
Ibeh reiterated that the power generation program of the State government through the Orashi Electricity Scheme has benefited most business owners in the State capital.
He vehemently insisted that greater percentage of the population in Owerri and its environ are still enjoying the 24 hours electricity supply made available by the Uzodimma’s administration and advised oppositions and critics to be mindful of playing undue politics with indices that fast-tracks the State development and transformations.
