Breaking: ‘We Knew Uba Sani Would Deliver in Ekiti’ — CSOs Hail APC Campaign Council Chair

A coalition of civil society organisations has praised Uba Sani for what it described as a strategic and effective leadership role in securing the re-election of Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji in the just-concluded governorship election in Ekiti State.

The coalition, comprising Leadership and Accountability League (L&A), Democracy Advancement Assembly (DAA), and Uba Sani Back2Back (USB2B), made its position known in a statement issued on Sunday evening in Kaduna following the official confirmation of Oyebanji’s victory.

The statement, jointly signed by Comrade Moses Magaji Kufana for L&A, Malam Yahaya Isa for DAA, and Hadiza Mohammed, Director of Strategic Communications for USB2B, described the governor’s triumph as “resounding and well-earned.”

According to the coalition, Oyebanji’s tally of 319,224 votes reflected the confidence of Ekiti voters in his administration and validated the efforts of the APC campaign machinery led by Governor Uba Sani.

“We knew Uba Sani would deliver,” the group declared, attributing the outcome to what it called his methodical, hands-on coordination of the APC National Campaign Council throughout the state.

The organisations said the scale of the victory was a clear endorsement of Oyebanji’s first-term performance, particularly in the areas of governance, inclusion, and development. They argued that voters overwhelmingly chose continuity, stability, and progressive leadership.

The coalition also linked the electoral success to the wider support framework provided by the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that federal reforms and engagement with state governments had enabled governors such as Oyebanji to showcase measurable achievements to the electorate.

According to the CSOs, the campaign council under Uba Sani’s leadership successfully translated those governance gains into renewed public trust at the ballot box.

They further commended the conduct of the election, applauding the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and local and international observers for overseeing what they described as a peaceful, credible, and transparent process.

The coalition also endorsed Governor Uba Sani’s appeal to opposition parties and candidates to accept the outcome in the spirit of democracy, urging all political actors to unite behind the re-elected governor in the interest of the people of Ekiti State.

The statement concluded with congratulations to Governor Uba Sani for what the groups termed a “masterstroke in campaign coordination,” while extending their best wishes to Governor Oyebanji and the people of Ekiti for continued peace, progress, and prosperity during the new term.
