The Nigeria Police Force, Ebonyi State Command, has arraigned three suspects in connection with the mob attack on a woman at the International Market, Abakaliki. The suspects are  Nwokedi Charles ‘M’, Ekwunife Chidubem ‘M’ and  Okapala Chiamaka ‘F’.

The Commissioner of Police, Ebonyi State Command, CP Hope Urunwa Okafor, had earlier condemned the barbaric act and immediately directed a thorough, diligent, and impartial investigation into the incident. Following the conclusion of the investigation, the suspects were charged to court for their alleged involvement.

The Command reiterates its strong stance against jungle justice and all forms of self-help justice. Members of the public are urged to always report suspected offenders to the Police rather than resorting to mob action. The Command warns that anyone found engaging in jungle justice will be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law.
