BMUKO Zone F EXCO Marks First Anniversary, Honours Outstanding Members for Exceptional Service

Members of BMUKO Zone F gathered at the community meeting centre to celebrate the first anniversary of the current Executive Committee (EXCO), with the occasion serving as an opportunity to recognise individuals whose dedication, commitment and selfless service have played vital roles in the growth and development of the community.

The anniversary celebration brought together residents, community leaders and stakeholders in an atmosphere of unity, appreciation and progress, as several deserving members and supporters were honoured with awards for their outstanding contributions over the past year.

Addressing attendees, the Chairman of BMUKO Zone F, Mr. Komolafe Saheed Olakunle, expressed heartfelt gratitude to members for their unwavering support and cooperation throughout the executive’s first year in office. He paid special tribute to the immediate past executive committee led by Engineer Julius, acknowledging their foundation-laying efforts, which he said contributed significantly to the successes recorded by the current administration.

“Our achievements over the past year would not have been possible without the dedication, sacrifices and collective efforts of our members, former executives and every stakeholder who believed in the vision of this community,” the chairman stated.

One of the major highlights of the event was the presentation of a special recognition award to His Royal Highness, Ibrahim Yahaya Dangana, District Head of BMUKO, Bwari Area Council, FCT-Abuja. The traditional ruler was represented at the ceremony by the Central Chairman, Mr. Ahmed Olajire.

Receiving the award on behalf of the District Head, Mr. Olajire conveyed the monarch’s appreciation to the community, explaining that although His Royal Highness had intended to attend the celebration personally, he was unavoidably absent.

He commended the leadership of BMUKO Zone F for recognising those who have contributed to the community’s development, noting that community leaders are often contacted only when there are challenges to address.

“Most times, we are only called upon when there are complaints or problems to resolve. Today is different because we are being appreciated for our efforts. This recognition is truly encouraging, and we sincerely thank the community,” he said.

Mr. Olajire further urged residents to remain united and committed to the continued development of BMUKO Zone F, while praying for greater peace, harmony and sustained progress within the community.

Other award recipients also expressed gratitude for the honour, describing the recognition as a source of encouragement that would motivate them to continue rendering selfless service toward the advancement of the community.

In his closing remarks, Chairman Komolafe encouraged members not to relent in their commitment to community development, assuring them that the executive would continue to identify and celebrate individuals making meaningful contributions during future anniversary celebrations.

The first anniversary of the BMUKO Zone F Executive Committee not only celebrated the milestones achieved within the past year but also reaffirmed the community’s commitment to recognising excellence, promoting volunteerism and strengthening the spirit of unity and collective responsibility for a more prosperous BMUKO Zone F.
