Mizar Eridanus Energy Limited Opens First Retail Station On Badagry Expressway

From John Silas

Mizar Eridanus Energy Limited has opened its first retail outlet, Mizar Energies, on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.

The station, which was unveiled and located on one of Lagos’ busiest corridors and serves motorists, commercial drivers and long-distance travellers with direct access from both sides of the expressway.

The launch marks the company’s entry into fuel retail and the beginning of a planned retail network across the downstream sector.

According to the company, the station dispenses Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) and currently operates between 6am and 8pm, accepting cash, card and transfer payments.

The company said the outlet is licensed by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and complies with the Authority’s safety codes for storage, handling and forecourt operations.

It added that all dispensers at the station are calibrated and sealed in line with NMDPRA requirements and verified quarterly, while every product batch is checked against supplier certificates of quality before sale.

Speaking at the launch, Group Chief Executive Officer of Mizar Eridanus Holdings Limited, Benjamin Ekwebelam, said the retail brand is built on accurate measurement and product quality.

“What you pay for is exactly what you get — a litre from us is a litre, accurately measured and properly tested, every time. That is the standard this group is built on, and it is the standard we are carrying into every Mizar Energies outlet we open,” he said.

Also speaking, Head of Commercial and Operations, Mizar Eridanus Energy Limited, Richard Arokoyo, said the Badagry Expressway station is the first of several outlets planned for major trade and commuter routes.

“This is just the beginning for us. We are starting on the Badagry Expressway, and we will take the same standard of quality and reliability to more motorists in more locations,” Arokoyo said.
