The Unity Advocacy Group, UAG, says President Bola Tinubu has through his recent nation wide broadcast passed vote of confidence in the Armed Forces of Nigeria under Gen. Chris Gwabin Musa.
Recall that the President in his New Year broadcast on Monday said the nation’s security has improved since he assumed office.
President Tinubu said though it may not have solved all the security problems confronting the country, it is working hard to ensure that Nigerians have peace of mind in their homes.
According to the President “Since our administration took over the mantle of office, security has improved. Silently, we have worked to free captives from abductors.”
Reacting to the broadcast, the Unity Advocacy Group in a press release on Monday said the President cannot be far from the truth.
The press release signed by the Convener of the group, Ifeanyi Aigbedion noted the sincerity of the President on the security challenges and noted it is similar to that expressed by the CDS, Gen. Musa in his interactions with media and different segments of the society.
According to UAG, “The President has shown sincerity by acknowledging that there is still work to be done. It shows that the President and the leadership of the Armed Forces of Nigeria under Gen Chris Musa is sincerely committed to restoration of peace and stability.
“By saying security has improved since his assumption of office, President Tinubu has passed a vote of confidence in the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
“UAG therefore appeal to Nigerians to work with Gen. Musa and his team to restore peace in areas facing security challenges,” the Group added.
