Imo Governorship 2027:OZOPOLF is playing the role of John the Baptist – Amadi

Ahead of 2027 Imo State governorship election, Chief Charles Amadi, the National Leader of Owerri Zone Political Leaders Forum (OZOPOLF), says the apex sociopolitical organization in Owerri Senatorial Zone of Imo State is playing the role of the biblical John the Baptist for the commitment towards the achievement of the zone’s age long desire of the State Governor of the zone’s biological extraction.

Amadi said this on Saturday during a well attended sensitization meeting of critical stakeholders of the group from the entire 9 local government areas that constitutes the Senatorial zone in his private residence at Achike Udenwa Estate, Owerri.

According to him, ” the essence of this meeting, is to renew our commitment towards achieving our ancestral desire as Owerri people, of having one of our illustrious and patriotic sons or daughters as the Governor of Imo State come 2027. In this mission and vision, we as members of OZOPOLF are playing the role of John the Baptist in achievement of this our collective desire as Owerri people”.

The national leader who enjoined members for their dedication and commitments, noted the task ahead as challenging but expressed gratitude to God that he has the political will, courage, contact and resources to wither the storm.

He expressed gratitude to Governor Hope Uzodimma for believing that his successor must come from Owerri Senatorial zone of the State, revealing that the organization has advanced plans to mobilize for more members and allies in all the nooks and crannies of the Senatorial zone, State, the nation and diaspora.

Amadi also disclosed that the apex sociopolitical organization in the Senatorial zone will by this November commence sensitization cum mobilization tour of the council areas, so as to enlighten people on the need for their legitimate demand, and the grand finale will be in his ancestral community, Eziama Ikeduru and would be christened “Eziama Declaration”.
