Matawalle attends FEC meeting, earns praise from CSOs for tackling insecurity

The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, participated in the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Thursday, chaired by President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.

In a statement released by the Civil Society Organization of Nigerian Forum, Matawalle was lauded for his efforts in addressing persistent security challenges in the country.

The CSOs commended his leadership for employing strategic interventions and fostering collaboration with local communities to combat insecurity.

Adejoh Audu, the forum’s Public Relations Officer, noted that Matawalle’s contributions have resulted in tangible improvements in safety and stability across previously troubled areas.

“These efforts have led to a significant reduction in violence and unrest, particularly in the northern regions that have been plagued by insecurity for years,” Audu stated.

The minister’s emphasis on reinforcing security forces and promoting community engagement was described as a transformative approach to achieving peace.

Audu further stressed that Matawalle’s inclusive leadership is critical to sustaining the progress made so far, urging the government to continue its collective efforts in maintaining peace.

“Matawalle’s strategies have inspired renewed confidence in the government’s ability to restore peace,” he added.

“His initiatives show that, with dedication and proper execution, the security challenges in the North can be overcome,” Audu concluded.
