The Plateau State Universal Basic Education Board (PSUBEB) has congratulated Mrs. Kachollom Joseph David, a teacher from Government Secondary School Nyango Gyel, Jos South, on being named the Best Teacher in the Junior Secondary School category from the North Central Zone of Nigeria.
She received the award at the National Teachers’ Summit 2026 in Abuja, with a prize of ₦25 million.
Sunday Amuna, Executive Chairman of PSUBEB, praised Mrs. David’s achievement, saying, “This is not only a victory for the teacher but a milestone for the entire education subsector in Plateau State.”
He commended her as a “shining example of professionalism and commitment” and extended congratulations from Governor Caleb Mutfwang and the people of the State.
Amuna added that the award highlights the State’s growing reputation for educational excellence and the impact of Governor Mutfwang’s administration on the education sector.
“The award underscores Plateau State’s growing reputation for educational excellence and highlights the invaluable commitment of the present administration of Governor Mutfwang to the general development of education in Plateau State,” he said.
