2027: PNT Asks Nigerians To Re-elect Tinubu For More Transformation

A group under the auspices of
Progressives Network for Tinubu (PNT), has urged Nigerians to ensure the continuity of the President Bola Tinubu-led administration beyond 2027.

According to PNT, it is time for citizens to be part of the process of building a country they all can be proud of by getting involved in the electioneering process to re-elect President Tinubu.

The group backed by the Minister of Interior, Dr Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the call at a world press conference held at
the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ) Press Centre, FCT Council Secretariat Abuja on Wednesday.

Director General of the PNT, Pastor Olumide Obadele,
said the re-election of President Tinubu in next year’s general election would give him the time to consolidate on the transformational strides recorded by his administration in the last three years.

Obadele emphasised that the last three years of Tinubu’s administration have moved Nigeria from where it used to be and presently on its way to where it ought to be.

He said major policies decisions had been taken in the best interest of majority of Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora within the period.

The PNT Director General said the administration’s economic policies, education programmes, infrastructure projects and redemption of Nigeria’s international image have restored the country’s lost glory and position it for accelerated development.

“The journey to Nigeria’s economic recovery under the present administration began when Tinubu announced the removal of fuel subsidy on the 29th May,2023. Many pundits had described him as a man on a mission following his bold and audacious removal of fuel subsidy. As a result, the huge amount of money that would have been spent on subsidy is now being shared among the three tiers of Government for the development of the country.

“Also, the floating of the Naira was another giant step taken by the present Government through the Central Bank of Nigeria. This allows market forces to determine the value of the Naira; replacing a fixed exchange rate system and bridging the gap between official and blackmarket rates; thereby improving economic stability.

“Aside other strides in the education sector, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) is one achievement that stands this Government out. Just like in developed nations of the world, the initiative since inception in May 2024 has given succour to many Nigerian students struggling to pay their ways through Tertiary institutions.

“Looking at the performance index, NELFUND has disbursed over N206 Billion to over 1.16 MillionNigerian students since its inception in 2024; including N128.84 Billion for tuition and N77.45 Billion for upkeep. As at 23rd January, 2026, N1.33 Billion has been disbursed to University of Lagos for 2025/2026 Academic Session. The major aim of NELFUND is that no Nigerian is denied access to Tertiary education for lack of funds.

“The concrete Technology Road construction method adopted by the Tinubu administration is a unique one. Aside several others, the following four legacy Road Projects are designed to cement Nigeria’s States, enhance National Integration and unlock new economic corridors.

“The 1,068 kilometres Sokoto – Badagry, North -South Super Highway Road Project, which includes a rail line in the median is a huge one linking the North to the South..The 750 kilometres Lagos – Calabar Coastal Highway at completion will also boast coastal connection.

“The 477 kilometres Trans – Saharan Highway traversing Calabar, Ebonyi, Kogi, Nasarawa and the FCT Highway is a well-thought project.(iv). The 422 kilometresAkwanga – Jos – Bauchi – Gombe Highway is also commendable.

“The efforts of the Ministry of Interior under the leadership of Dr. Bunmi Tunji Ojo, Nigeria’s interior Minister are fast delivering positive effects on the Nation’s international image. According to a recent Henley Passport Index, the Nigerian Passport has experienced a notable improvement in its international standing moving from 103rd in 2025 to 89th in January, 2026 in the World; its highest position in several years.

“This in turn will allow visa-free access to 45 destinations. This improvement was credited to the Ministry of Interior’s digitalisation of the passport process including the adoption of polycarbonate technology and automated issuing.

“Again, it is not out of order to conclude that the recent historic two-day state visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the United Kingdom on the invitation of King Charles III, the first such visit by Nigerian President in Fifty Seven years is an attestation to the international acceptance of the Tinubu-led administration.

“On a final note, we urge Nigerians that all hands must be on deck to ensure the continuity of the Tinubu-led administration beyond 2027. It is time to be part of the process of building a Nigeria we all can be proud of by getting involved in the electioneering process to re-elect President Tinubu.

“It is possible and we can do it. It is achievable and we are already on the right track. Again,we call on Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027,” he stated.
