The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) headquarters came alive on Tuesday as Hon. Umar Eniji formally picked his nomination forms to contest for the House of Representatives seat, Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency.
A grassroots mobilizer and committed advocate of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Hon. Eniji said his decision is driven by the need to give Dekina/Bassa effective, people-centered representation at the National Assembly.
He unveiled his 7-Cardinal Point Legislative Agenda, which focuses on cashew industrialization, Women and youth empowerment, Legislate for local government administrative and financial autonomy, rural infrastructure, education, healthcare, and security.
“Our people deserve more than promises. This agenda is about turning Dekina/Bassa’s resources and talent into jobs, income, and dignity for every household,” Eniji stated.
The event drew party leaders, youth groups, and supporters from Kogi East who described his entry as a boost to the NDC’s grassroots base ahead of 2027.
