The Executive President of Nurses Across the Borders Humanitarian Initiative and the Diaspora Nurses Association of Nigeria (DNAN), Pastor Peters Omoragbon, has felicitated the Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, CON, on the occasion of her birthday.
In a goodwill message on behalf of the organizations, Pastor Omoragbon described Dr. Dabiri-Erewa as a distinguished stateswoman and a formidable voice for Nigerians in the diaspora.
He commended her tireless advocacy and humanitarian interventions, particularly her efforts in rescuing Nigerians trapped by human traffickers and her steadfast defence of Nigerians facing xenophobic attacks across the globe.
“For teeming Nigerians scattered across the diaspora, you have not just been a government official; you have been a rallying point, a compassionate mother, and a steadfast advocate who gives a voice to the voiceless,” the message read.
In a show of statesmanship, Pastor Omoragbon noted that while both leaders have had principled disagreements in the past, true greatness lies in objectivity.
“In the spirit of true statesmanship and objective leadership, I must acknowledge that we have not always seen eye-to-eye on every principle or policy in the past. We have had our moments of principled disagreement. However, true greatness is measured by the ability to be objective enough to appreciate good works regardless of personal or political differences,” he said.
He prayed for divine wisdom, robust health, renewed strength, and greater heights for the NiDCOM boss, quoting Numbers 6:24-26, and wished her abundant peace and divine alignment in the new chapter.
