The Iliya Kefas Alhaji otherwise known as (IKA) coalition movement for Taraba North 2027 has explained why it endorsed President Bola Tinubu and Governor Agbu Kefas re-election for 2027.
Speaking during endorsement in Jalingo yesterday, the coordinator of the movement, Hon. Iliya Kefas Alhaji said the gathering covers all supporters of the movement from the 16 local government areas of the State.
According to him, the aim was to express their support for the continued leadership of president Tinubu at the federal level and Gov. Agbu Kefas for Taraba State.
He outlined significant achievements based on the ongoing initiative of the 2 leaders in the area of security, free education, women and youth empowerment, agriculture and human capital development.
Iliya Kefas pointed to the ongoing state government sanitation initiative where he revealed that more than 10,000 youth and women have so far benefited from the exercise in the State.
Others who spoke at the event, Mrs Victoria Markus and Adamu Usman said President Tinubu deserved another opportunity to consolidate the gains recorded, while describing gov. Kefas intervention in education, security and human capital development as evidence to their claims.
According to them, endorsements were an expression of the group’s confidence in the continuity of the two administrations as they enjoyed support to sustain their mobilization as the 2027 election was around the corner.
Meanwhile, the event witnessed a large crowd of coalition members across the State including friends and well wishers of Iliya Kefas Alhaji from the North-East.
