Nze Onuoha to Okorocha: Your son in-law canat save you

From Angela Nkwo-Akpolu, Owerri
Even though he acknowledged that Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has done well in the area of infrastructure and education, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nze Stanley Onuoha, has said that the governor would fail in his attempt to impose his son-in-law as his successor.
He accused the governor of administrative recklessness, declaring that his a?unfortunate action would end him in jail.a?
Nze Onuoha spoke at the weekend at the traditional marriage of his daughter at his country home in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.
The APC chieftain described Owelle Okorocha’s effort to foist his son -in-law, Uche Nwosu, who is also from Orlu zone as self-serving and a?a notorious idea,a? he said, would destroy him.
The politician wondered why a man like Madumere who has toiled for 25 years building what has metamorphosed to what is known today as Rescue Mission would be treated with levity, insisting that it was a slight on Imo people for Okorocha to have thought of presenting somebody from Orlu zone how much worse his son-in-law.
The fearless and vocal politician therefore called on the people to reject Okorocha and his a?worst gift of son-in-law who is at best a neophytea? who he tacitly alleged would be used to perpetrate his the governoras third term agenda.
“Governor Rochas Okorocha, I agree has done well in the area of education and infrastructure but he is ending badly because of a stubborn choice of trying foist his son-in-law, an Orlu man on Imo people. This is a show of ingratitude to us all and we shall join hands to stop him. Anyone who loves APC and would not want the party dead should rise and fight this ugly situation of third term and family to family transition we have at hand. The deputy governor is our best because he understands governance and has the administrative finesse to take our state to its rightful place. It’s a slight to allow this to happen. That boy, Uche Nwosu cannot save him. He surely has an axe to grind with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)”; he enthused.
On the person of the number two citizen of the state, Onuoha said he had followed him for two decades and that a?he is a man Imolites can vouch fora?, adding that he a credible humble leader of the people.
