Yari backs call for APC caretaker committee’s tenure elongation

Former Governor of Zamfara State, Abdul Aziz Yari, said on Tuesday that the Governor Mai Mala Buni led APC Caretaker and Extra Ordinary Congress Committee should be given enough time to complete the ongoing reconciliation it has commenced in the party.

Yari, who led his APC faction in Zamfara state on a courtesy visit to the caretaker committee chairman in Abuja, expressed satisfaction with the ongoing reconciliation being championed by the Committee in APC

He expressed his faction’s readiness for genuine reconciliation in the state APC, even as he warned that it can only come when all the factions work for the party’s interest

“Reconciliation to some extent will need result but every reconciliation that eventually mar the prospect of the party is no point.

“Reconciliation has some many definitions. We are ready to reconcile with everyone. But the situation where you are going to reconcile with somebody who has already members in the government of the State, he has Secretary to the State Government, he has Commissioners, he has everyone there.

“But if everyone is ready for reconciliation we will know what is there because we are doing this game since 1999 and by God’s grace we have been seeing the feature of party come 2023. We are ready for reconciliation and we are supporting the Acting Chairman for any reconciliation, ranging from Zamafara State to anywhere. We want our party to deliver.

On the call for extention of tenure of the caretaker committee, the former governor stated, “It doesn’t matter, as long as you people look at what is happening now in the Secretariat, I think you too can judge what is going on now because what I see since the time he came to office, what I see now is different from what I saw in the past and

” We are not in a hurry to say make this or make that, but we are in a hurry to have an intact party that cannot be beaten come 2023.
