The Presiding archbishop, International Leadership Communion of Ministers (ILCOM) and deputy national president, Pentecostal fellowship of Nigeria, Archbishop John Daniel has lamented over the religious fanaticism in Nigeria, urging the newly consecrated bishops to preach righteousness, faith and truth.
The Archbishop made these assertions during the consecration of eleven bishops, five from the Dominion Chapel International Church and six from International Leadership Communion of Ministers (ILCOM) on Friday at the Dominion Chapel International Churches in Abuja.
He said that the consecration will bring peace and sanity to the nation as the new bishops are dared to preach faith, righteousness and truth.
Archbishop Daniel stated that corruption and banditry will come to an end and Nigeria will experience a rebirth into greater heights
He said, “We want to thank God that we have witnessed what we have witnessed today. “The consecration of the eleven Bishops, 5 from the Dominion Chapel international church and 6 from International Leadership Communion Of Ministers (ILCOM) and we are all together because of the kingdom to take order and to ordain authority in different states and cities in Nigeria and move the gospel of Christ forward.
“It is amazing that Nigeria has the largest number of worshiping Christians, Muslims in Africa, or even in the world and yet we are ranked the most corrupt. Why should that be? So we want that to come to an end.
“We want righteousness established and corruption brought to an end in our nation.
“The newly consecrated are dared to go back and preach the message of faith, of truth and righteousness because it is righteousness that exalts a nation and sin is a reproach.
“Corruption is coming to an end because we are awakened to our responsibility as ministers, as bishops and archbishops, as people of God. Nigeria is being rebirth again into a new height.”
He said that religion and the fear and love should translate to the church, economic sector and all governmental cycle.
“We don’t just confess to be Christians or Muslims, we don’t just confess we love God or we fear God but we want to see that translate in the day to day running of our national affairs; in the judiciary, in the economic sector, in the governmental cycle, everywhere,” he said
Bishop Ezekiel Fortress from Dominion Chapel International Churches speaking on his consecration had this to say, “What a great joy that God has made today possible. We are grateful, I am particularly grateful to God that He has chosen me to be among those he will use in this end time; at a time like this. Like Mordecai said to Esther “you are in the kingdom for such a time as this” and God has consecrated me for such a time as this, even in this nation.
“So I know that things will turn out for good by the grace of God,” he prophesised.
