The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) said it willpay the bills of a Corps member, Ramatu Yinusa, who was delivered of a baby boywhile in a Bayelsa state camp
NYSC Director-General Brigadier General ShuaibuIbrahim, rejoiced with a Prospective Corps Member (PCM) Ramatu Yunusa, who gavebirth to a baby boy soon after registering as a member of the 2021 Batch ‘B’Stream II service corps in Bayelsa State.
Speaking at the Bayelsa State Referral Hospital,Kaiama, about ten-minutes drive from the NYSC Orientation Camp, Ibrahimexpressed delight at the safe birth of the baby.
He announced that the Scheme would settle the medicalbills incurred by the PCM and her baby.
Briefing the Director-General, the NYSC Bayelsa StateCoordinator Mrs. Ojugo Elizabeth said Ramatu was conveyed to the hospital assoon as she started showing signs of labour, adding that she gave birth to herchild at the hospital safely.
Hospital personnel that attended to the PCM,including a Corps Medical Doctor, Mbanusi Chiebonam Clara, confirmed that bothmother and baby were in good condition.
Speaking during the visit, Ramatu and her husband,Liman Aliyu Suleiman, both expressed appreciation of the support given tothe family by the NYSC Management.
